Stem Sisters works to strengthen the community of women in stem on UNC's campus and encourage young women to pursue stem interests and careers.

Although we are non-profit, many of our club activities require funding. We try to minimize the financial burden on our members as much as possible, and donations allow us to reduce dues. Further, all donations go directly towards the interests of the club and its members.

For example, we use donations to pay fees in order to provide background checks prior to conducting outreach programs with local public schools. In the future, we also hope to cover travel expenses for guest speakers and hold social events for members of the club.
